The AI Hub North Netherlands focuses on the development of AI applications in the fields of agriculture, industry, energy, maritime, safety, health, built environment and mobility.
About AI Hub North Netherlands
The AI hub North Netherlands (AI-hub NNL), as part of the national AI coalition and embedded in the European strategy around digitalization, will focus on the applications of AI within a number of prioritized sectors, in order to make the North Netherlands the testing ground of the Netherlands and Europe. The goal of the AI Hub NNL is to create a portfolio of high-impact innovation projects (TRL 7) within a wide range of relevant sectors.
These are high-impact public-private partnership (HIPP) projects, emerging from a chain approach. This approach contributes to the realistic embedding of the project, its sustainability and greater impact. In addition, from the HIPP projects the AI hub NNL fulfills a scouting role for new (unexpected) business opportunities.

We unite digital innovative ecosystems in the North
Thanks to the direct link with the other Dutch AI Hubs and with the Smart Industry and Digital Europe programs, the projects will connect to the national and European roadmaps. Within the projects there will be cooperation with other Dutch and European regions.
The anchoring in the regional value chain and at the same time in the national and European frameworks, allows the North’s digital innovation ecosystems to unite, scale up and embed in the national and European strategy.
